In the Wasatch Range in Utah, the mountains beckon from every direction. Sometimes stepping off the runs of the resort and into the backcountry is just what the doctor ordered. Snowboarders used to have it tough, as their equipment never allowed them the mobility and access into the backcountry, but with the invention of the splitboard, all that changed.
